This tea kettle is a replacement for another kettle that had a lifetime warranty.
I have had it for approximately one month and I am pleased thus far.
I am appreciative of Kitchen Aid for upholding. their warranty.
I have recently purchased all new Kitchen Aid appliances for my kitchen and expect that I will be pleased.

This was a replacement kettle. Nice design and a very loud whistle (good for aging people).
Customer service is top notch.

I've had my kettle for two years and over the last year, I have noticed the bottom seal has been leaking. Not sure if this is a common problem

I have had this tea kettle for several years and have been very happy with it. Occasionally the whistle doesn't work, so perhaps that is one negative.
HOWEVER, after a very stressful night I left the teakettle on the stove's gas power burner full blast and went to sleep unknowingly. I woke up the next morning to find the kitchen hotter than the rest of the night and was horrified to see I had left the burner and teakettle on for 7-8 hours.
The kettle had not disintegrated or caught on fire. It was not glowing red. The whistle flip top had popped off and a bit of the plastic on the lid had melted but that was all. Indeed, if the plastic hadn't melted I might use the same kettle because it doesn't look burned up...just a bit darker.
I don't know if this was fabulous engineering or divine intervention or what. I have to extend a hearty thank you to Kitchen Aid for such a fabulous kettle. I WILL be buying the exact same kettle as a replacement.
